When asked to describe her makeup style in three words, Alarna chose “Evolving, Versatile, and Adaptable. They may sound unusual for makeup,” she explains, “but they truly define mine.” Having begun in the ‘90s, Alarna has witnessed dramatic shifts in trends and techniques, requiring a constant evolution. From everyday client looks to theatrical productions and international runways, her ability to adapt has been key to her longevity and success. “Each project demands a fresh perspective and a deep understanding of how to deliver the right look for every face, stage, and camera,” she shares.

A Moment to Remember: Empire State Dream

One unforgettable highlight came early in her international career. “Being a country girl from rural Victoria, building a full-time career wasn’t easy—opportunities were few and far between,” Alarna recalls. “But when I found myself at New York Fashion Week for the first time, I went to the top of the Empire State Building, looked out over the city, and thought, ‘How did I get here?’ It was surreal and emotional—a moment I’ll never forget.”

Frustrated by the lack of truly effective tools for makeup application, Alarna took matters into her own hands. “After years of training others, I knew I could do better,” she says.
